Zajac suffered the same injury only a couple weeks later this time last year. He came back prematurely in December and then was shutdown again, but he wasn't 100 percent until mid-March.

We likely won't be seeing Meszaros at all until January or February, with late December being the earliest.

Imagine if you will, a scenario where Buffalo hook up in a trade to help one another. Imagine Sekera and Leopold to Philly, in exchange for some guy named Danny Briere.

I certainly don't pretend to know his family situation, but his family and wife (at the time) were all known to have loved it in Buffalo. He has stated since that he holds no bad feelings for the team now that all the morons that ran him out of town are gone.

One small difference.. it took Read one season to score 47 points.. and he did it while playing mainly on the third line. Oh, he also had 24 goals.. which would have been 3rd on your team.

The Flyers missed out on Weber and Suter. I doubt they are going to settle for Andrej Sekera as a consolation prize. Unless his name is Tyler Myers, Philly isn't interested in what Buffalo has to offer.

Garth,

Coburn played 27 plus minutes a night in the playoffs last year and dominated against the Pens playing 3 games over 29 minutes.

The pairing of Coburn and Grossman was and is their best pairing as it would be on a lot teams.

They paired them against the Malkin line and we know how that worked out till the Pens headhunted Grossman.

Not that the Flyers do not need to change their d mix, but we have plenty of 4 through 6 dmen.

The Sabres could use a Briere-type of top line centre who can play against the other team's top line and play special teams.

Thats what this site is all about. People make statements and we discuss. Pretty sure that is the goal here. Sometimes they or we are correct and sometimes not.

We are not solving the energy crisis here.

The flyers are now probly out of the Bobby Ryan chase ....... they need Yandle now WAYYY more then Ryan. There D core is is hurting BIG BIG time! and the Players "used" for Bobby Ryan will be used for Yandle instead
